How the template works:
This resource includes a customisable chart with the following sections:
- Show it – where students demonstrate a method or calculation
- Draw it – where they create a visual representation (e.g. bar models, number lines)
- Explain it – where they describe their thinking in words
- Prove it – where they justify or reason their answers
In the centre of the chart, teachers can type or write the name of the maths topic/unit being explored (e.g., fractions, multiplication, area).
This format supports differentiated instruction, reasoning, and maths mastery.
