KS3 - Religious Studies/ Education Lesson (RS) - Pacifism

A ready to use Religious Studies lesson (from KS3 upwards) which is part of a module called “Can the Suffering of War Ever Be Justified”. This lesson is focused on Religious Pacifism through the case study of Desmond Doss (who’s life and pacifism inspired the film Hacksawridge). I show the films trailer as part of the lesson but the full film is rated 15 so be aware of this and make your own decision on whether to encourage students to watch it. I use this lesson with my Y9 class as their eighth lesson in this unit.

Fully editable and also includes a knowledge organiser for the unit. Full SOW also available to purchase as individual lessons or a full scheme
