One of my favourite lessons to teach. At the end of an athletics unit your students can compete in a pentathlon. Groups of about 4-6 can rotate around the activities writing their scores on the card and checking teaching points and technique on the back. They can decide in the group who has what strengths and who was best at each event and try and beat their own/each others scores. If doubling up with another class or teacher then one can stay with throwing equipment and the other can circulate other activities, if doing on own then I use indoor throwing equipment. Students set up and run each activity themselves and complete it like c circuit after initial explanation and demo. Students always love this athletics lesson.
