Los lugares: Original conversations with present tense

For each place, write a short conversation in the present tense between the employee and the customer. The customer and employee can ask questions to each other and respond. Questions can be about product, services, cost, payment methods etc. Exclude greetings (hello, good bye etc) from the conversation.

*10 places included: el correo / el banco / la farmacia / un café en el centro / la tienda de ropa / el supermercado / la estación de servicio / el consultorio o la clínica dental (choose any one) / la biblioteca / la tienda de equipo deportivo

*For each place, students will write 6 lines of dialogue (3 for employee and 3 for customer).

*A list of helpful words with their English translation is included, if students choose to use it.

Note: All conversations are structured the same as the example above.

This activity can be used with chapter 3A of Realidades 2. It can be used for classwork, homework, or as a speaking activity in pairs or small groups.
