This is part of an exciting scheme of work aimed at KS3 that looks at the role of castles in Britain while also looking at Knights, Life in Castles and Heraldry. I have also uploaded the entire lessons pack and there are a total of NINE lessons included. This can be found on my shop and includes:

Lesson 1 & 2 - How did the first castles develop?
Lesson 3 & 4 - How do you attack and defend a castle?
Lesson 5 - What was life like in a castle?
Lesson 6 & 7- What was life as a Knight like?
Lesson 8 & 9 - Heraldry & Foreign Castles.

In this exciting lesson, students explore and look at the methods of attacking and defending a castle. Originally taught in 2 50 minute lessons, this resource includes both lessons, the resources needed including scaffolding and differentiation, as well as a knowledge quiz if following the original SoW.
