This scheme is a fantastic introduction to autobiographical writing for KS3 students. It strikes the perfect balance between analysing real-life extracts and developing students’ own voice through creative tasks. The lessons are thoughtfully designed to build skills in structure, tone, and personal expression, while also promoting empathy and reflection. Students were really engaged by the diverse range of autobiographical texts and produced some of their most thoughtful writing of the year. A rich, adaptable and well-paced resource that inspires meaningful work and builds confidence.
