This unit of work is designed to support Year 2 to Year 6 pupils in writing a diary entry about their Christmas Day or another holiday they celebrate. The lessons cover the basics of diary writing and help children use coordinating conjunctions to extend their sentences. Ideal for the first week back after Christmas, this unit also includes adaptations for children who do not celebrate Christmas, allowing them to recount another holiday day. The resource contains PowerPoints, differentiated tasks, and detailed lesson plans.
