An assembly that explores the importance of reading. This was originally put together to celebrate International Children’s Book day but this can be very easily modified for any other reading occasion!
The assembly addresses what you can learn from books and refers to Steve Jobs at Apple and Phil Knight at Nike about how books led to the growth of their companies.
The assembly then looks at the direct relationship between reading and achievement.
Finally, the assembly concludes by allowing staff to share their favourite books and why (template included on slide so can be easily modified).

Full script included.
