Resources for teaching a scheme of work based on the new AQA GCSE French specification for first exam in 2026.

This unit covers Theme 1 People and lifestyle - Topic 1 - Identity and relationships with others from the specification. 15 lessons in total.

This unit of work includes:

• A medium term plan outline with a suggested lesson-by-lesson scheme of work
• A knowledge organiser/sentence builder for the topic
• A student booklet (also used for teacher annotation) with do now retrieval activities included and a variety of listening, reading, translation, speaking and writing tasks
• A PowerPoint which contains some front of class resources (skeleton only) and also some audio files using AI voices. Where no recording is included this would indicate the teacher reads aloud the text.
• Knowledge/vocabulary tests also included

NB: These resources are very much based on my department’s ‘house’ style which incorporates elements of Gianfranco Conti’s EPI/PIRCO approach and our own teaching methods.
