A fully resourced lesson that covers the cause, effects and responses to a specific UK extreme weather hazard. The Somerset Levels makes a great example due to the prolonged nature of the event and multiple contributing factors. The emphasis is on getting students to engage with the activities and demonstrate understanding. A Knowledge Organiser is included, along with video links meaning no other resources are needed. Students can produce an icon based A4 summary or a as an A4 table - both of these are digital and therefore can be completed remotely.
Updated February 2025 video links including the 50 minute documentary on the floods have been checked and are working fine. You will need access to Youtube to play them.
