This is from a series of posters I made for the revision of the characters in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein. Elizabeth Lavenza, Victor’s love (and cousin, but let’s not talk about that), is the latest addition to the series. The poster includes quotes and comments useful to revise for the GCSE English Literature exam.

Printed in A5, these posters can be made into individual student booklets, while A4 versions are ideal for general class use. For display use, they look good in A3.

The main poster is here in both PDF and jpeg versions. The remaining three versions allow for you to display quotes only, traits only, or picture only.

The traits (in red) serve as the point in a typical PEE/PEAS/PETER response, while the quotes (in black) serve as evidence.

SUGGESTED USES:

  • Students can be asked to expand on each of the quotes, linking to specific themes in the novel, or to explain why the trait of the character is significant;
  • Display traits only and ask students to find evidence to support each trait;
  • Display quotes only and ask students to explain what each one tells you about the character;
  • Ask students to create their own posters for other characters or texts.

Victor Frankenstein is also available, along with The Creature, Robert Walton, Henry, Alphonse, Caroline, Justine, and the DeLaceys.

PLEASE NOTE: Bundles are always much cheaper than buying individually. If you would like to mix texts and create a bundle of characters from different novels, just contact me via the social media links beneath the shop banner.

I sell similar posters for the following texts:
An Inspector Calls;
Romeo and Juliet;
Blood Brothers;
Twelfth Night;
Pigeon English;
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde;
A Christmas Carol;
Animal Farm;
Macbeth;
Hamlet;
Murder on the Orient Express…
