This is an ESL English lesson, tailored to the new Pearson Edexcel (2023) ESL GCSE examination series. The lesson focuses on the third unit: Employment.
Students begin with a game of Taboo to test their knowledge of different jobs. They then complete three listening tasks about different jobs. Finally, students have the chance to record themselves talking about a job of their choice, and write 5 questions about their recording which their partner must complete. Most tasks are differentiated to accommodate those with a basic level of English, to the more proficient speakers.
Students get the chance to practice writing and speaking skills in this lesson.
