A complete (5 lesson) Geography unit exploring the colonisation of Australia and the impact this had on Indigenous communities. The unit also examines Australia’s physical geography and highlights the importance of preserving its unique ecosystems.
Written for Year 6 but easily adapted up or down. **

There are five complete lessons as follows: **
•To show and explain how Australia has changed over time.
•To understand the location and structure of Australia.
To investigate the weather and climate of Australia
• To show my understanding of the importance of the Great Barrier Reef and the threats it faces.
• To show my understanding of diversity in Australian culture

Each lesson has planning, teaching slides that are adaptable and resources/scaffolds for the lesson (at the end of each slide deck)

All lessons have written tasks and are not worksheet based.
