Book Responses

  • Alphabet Key – write down words or phrases from the text
  • Travel Journal – print as many of the second pages as you want. Record the destination and draw a picture and then add a description.

Send a Postcard

  • Let students choose which postcard they wish to write on and then print the pages you need
  • Students can write a message on the postcard themselves or use the information sheets in this pack to help
  • Design your stamp
  • Cut out the two sections and glue the front to the back
  • Hang in your classroom as a display of places visited
  • There is a blank template if you want to choose your destination
  • Destinations are listed on the contents page

Information Sheets

  • There is a fact sheet to go with each postcard.
  • You can print these off or use the jpegs in the zipped file to upload to Google Classroom.

Recount Response

  • There are two options
  • Option One is a caravan outline with two different inside lined pages to choose from
  • Option Two provides space for an illustration and then the text. There is an extra lined page provided.

Narrative Response

  • Use the templates to plan and write your narrative about taking a trip.
