This resource includes a Geography AQA A Level synoptic 9 mark question with an A* model answer, simplified mark scheme and top tips all written by an experienced Head of Department with a track record of securing top grades for their students.
This question is synoptic (combines Hazards and Changing Places) which means it combines at least two topics in one question. There will be at least one (often more than one) synoptic question in your geography A Level exams in the summer, so it is essential that you practise answering them and know how to answer them! This resource will help you with answering 9 mark questions and it includes a 9/9 A* model answer. The Hazard examples used in this answer are Iceland and Haiti but you could easily substitute in your own example(s).
