This scheme of work and 6 detailed lesson plans are designed to support Eduqas A-Level Drama students in exploring Sophocles’ Antigone through an integrated approach to theory and practice.

The scheme encourages students to engage with the text physically and intellectually, combining rehearsal techniques, ensemble work, design concepts, and written analysis. It builds their understanding of Greek tragedy, character motivation, and performance interpretation all aligned with Eduqas assessment objectives but can be used for any spec.

Included are a background slide deck, as well as a task-focused slide deck to support lesson delivery. Each of the 6 lessons includes a full breakdown of activities, learning objectives, and extension tasks, as well as lesson plans to enrich classroom learning.

Perfect for teachers delivering Antigone as a set text or as part of practical exploration. Enjoy!
