This printable resource includes three black-and-white sheets to support letter recognition, phonics, and fine motor skills through an autumn theme.
Learning Objectives:
• Recognise and name uppercase and lowercase letters.
• Match pictures to initial sounds using autumn-themed vocabulary.
• Practise alphabetical order.
• Develop fine motor skills through tracing, colouring, and cutting.

Sheet 1 – Alphabet with Autumn Pictures:
A–Z cards showing upper and lowercase letters with autumn-themed images (e.g. a – acorn, j – jumper, p – pumpkin, k – kite). Children trace the letters, colour the pictures, and cut out the cards. They can then order the cards or use for matching games.
Sheet 2 – Autumn Pictures (No Letters):
Matching A–Z images without letters. Children colour, cut out, and match these to Sheet 1 or 3.
Sheet 3 – Alphabet Letter Mat:Uppercase and lowercase alphabet shown in order. Children match cut-out cards from Sheets 1 and 2 to the correct letters. These letter cards can also be cut out and used for matching games.
Ideal for independent, small group, or adult-led phonics activities as well as homework tasks.
