This KS1 resource supports the “Ourselves” topic by encouraging children to explore and express their identity, interests, and feelings through drawing and early writing.
Each activity sheet features six irregular shapes with different prompts such as “My Family,” “A Treat I Like,” “My Dream Job,” and “Something I’m Good At.”
Children fill the shapes with pictures or simple sentences to reflect their personal experiences.
A blank template is included so pupils or teachers can create their own headings, along with a worked example showing a coloured-in, completed sheet for inspiration.
Once the sheets are finished, children can cut out their shapes and work together to create a vibrant class collage – a shared display celebrating what makes each child unique, while also supporting PSHE, creativity, fine motor skills, and early literacy.
