Worksheet on Questionnaires in Social Research for AQA A Level Sociology students for Theories and Methods & Methods in Context.

Students are to fill in worksheet using information found in the Webb and Westergaard A Level AQA Sociology textbooks

1. The first two pages are for questionnaires in the theories and methods topic - there is a definition of questionnaires, and definitions for open and closed questions. There are lots of prompts to help students identify methodological strengths and limitations of questionnaires in social research.
2. The next two pages are on questionnaires for methods in context - students are again identifying strengths and limitations but now applying their knowledge to researching education
3. Five consolidation questions at the end e.g. ‘Why might interpretivist sociologists criticise the use of questionnaires in researching pupils?’
