An introduction to social media and influencers – discussion questions to ascertain what students already know. Students copy the underlined information into their books (a definition of influencer). Students come up with some categories of influencers. They learn about the three types of influencers (micro, macro and celebrities). We look at some example posts from Instagram – a fitness influencer and Khloe Kardashian). Then we watch a 6 minute BTN high video about Skincare influencers. Students are then given a bit more details about their assessment task before doing some goal setting and a getting to know you activity.
