Theme: At the beach
Put on your sunglasses and hat – we are off to the beach with this ‘I spy’ picture mat. Designed to spark curiosity, observation skills, promote vocabulary and initial writing skills. It makes a great addition for a classroom or homeschool activity.

Children are prompted to play ‘I spy’ looking at the picture and either discussing what they can see, or used the additional writing pages (attached in this resource) to encourage writing. Whether it’s spotting a cheeky seagull or a big red crab – children can write down anything they see.
