How to use this resource

As there are 30 different addition or subtraction with a number line worksheets in each pack, you can use this activity with your entire class ensuring each child receives a different worksheet. You can also use this activity with smaller groups or as a Math center. These addition worksheets can be laminated or placed in dry erase pockets before use, ensuring they can be used over and over again. This means your students will get lots of opportunities to practise adding using a number line.

As each worksheet features a number line underneath each calculation, your students can draw their jumps straight onto the worksheet to help them work out the answers. This means you do not need to use separate number lines and your students can clearly visualize this strategy for calculating addition problems.
