A one hour lesson for KS3 / KS4 explaining why volunteering is important and how it ,may help them have the edge over their peers when it comes to their future job prospects. Students will explore examples of teens who have successfully volunteered, investigate the skills and qualities they will develop, learn new key terms and come up with ideas about how volunteering may help them develop their characters and job prospects. Includes detailed lesson plan.

This lesson is taken from the new EC Publishing Complete 2024 PSHE Package which can be found at the EC Publishing website. Everything is editable and easy to pick up and run with and includes future DfE updates too.

This has been written to cover the 2020-24 PSHE guidance from the DfE and PSHE Association for RSE.
