A lesson taught to Y9 that looks at why Silicon Valley is home to R&D for many of the tech companies. It includes:
- Structured description of Silicon Valley activity.
- Recap of employment sectors and introduction of quaternary sector.
- Gap fill activity on the quaternary sector.
- Table recap of the 4 employment sectors to include the definition and example job.
- Think, pair, share on what you would want to include for R&D in a company.
- Table for students to explain various factors that led to the success of SIlicon Valley.
- Questions regarding what they have learnt.
Please note all APK’s/ starters will need editing as they relate to previously taught content specific to the SOWs at my shcool.
