Costumes, capes, and imagination… it’s time to read, choose, pretend, and play!

This playful comprehension pack invites young readers into the world of dressing up, with three carefully differentiated texts (Starter, Standard, Stretch). Students begin with early reading skills like retrieval and sequencing, then build toward vocabulary, inference, and light reasoning, all through a topic they know and love.
Across all levels, children learn that dressing up is fun, helps us play, and lets us pretend to be someone or something else. They explore how costumes reflect our choices and feelings, and how talking to friends about what we wear supports social learning and imagination.

What’s included:

  • 3 differentiated reading texts on the same topic
  • Matching comprehension question sets
  • Full answer key with skill tags
  • Traffic light self-assessment
  • Black-and-white, print-friendly format

Whether they’re a cat, a ghost, or a superhero, help your class dress up their thinking one page at a time!
