This is a project which teaches pupils about hydraulics in a practical only lesson.
It is an independent learning project. It allows pupils to learn from each other and to develop a key skills to get them ready for their GCSE if they which to choose DT in KS4.
- THIS IS A 4+ WEEKS PROJECT ON HYDRAULICS
- THE PROJECT HAS BEEN DESIGNED, TO ALLOW PUPILS TO WORK AS A GROUPS OF 2-4 PUPILS
- THE AIM OF THIS PROJECT, IS TO ALLOW PUPILS TO LEARN ABOUT HYDRAULICS IN AN ONLY PRACTICAL BASED LESSON
- EACH INDIVIDUAL PUPILS MUST COME UP WITH A UNIQUE DESIGN FOR AN HYDRAULIC ARM ROBOT
- EACH PUPIL WILL NEED TO BRING FORWARD THEIR IDEA TO THEIR GROUP/COMPANY WHERE DISCUSSIONS AND DEVELOPMENT OF JOINT IDEAS WILL START.
- THE FINAL DESIGN MUST BE LAID OUT IN A WAY THAT ANOTHER COMPANY/GROUP WILL BE ABLE TO BUILD IT. THINK OF A LEGO MANUAL.
