Martin Luther King Jr. is a perfect individual to study as part of a history lesson (perfect for** Black History Month**) due to his impact on society and the adversity he had to face throughout his life. Not just a political icon, but also coined the famous ’I have a dream’ speech.

Included are;

  • There is a timeline format version for the children to show where in his life the events took place, based on the timeline, showing further historical skills.
  • A storyboard activity sheet with events of his life already in chronological order.
  • A blank storyboard activity sheet with the events of his life in an easy-to-cut and stick format (alternatively, they can be used as writing prompts), leaving space for illustrations.
  • As a bonus, I’ve included a ‘Vocabulary for Historians’ writing mat, which aims to support students with their ability to use more historical vocabulary within their writing.
