These hundred chart missing number math puzzles task cards are great for all learners still needing to secure their knowledge and understanding of numbers to 100. There are 20 task cards and answer cards within the set, providing challenge for youngsters as they use their counting ability to identify missing numbers by counting forwards and backwards in 1s and 10s to solve each problem on the task card.

Create fun and engaging math centers, small group activities, interventions, puzzles of the day on your math working wall and so much more through the versatility of these printable cards (pdf) and in doing so, your little learners will develop and begin to secure their ability to:
Count to 100 in 1s and 10s
Count forwards and backwards from a given number
Read and write numerals to 100
Identify the next number and the number before a given number
Understand the layout and operations of a 100 chart to use independently as a support tool
Develop problem solving skills through math puzzles
Self and peer assess and identify misconceptions as they use the included answer cards
Develop resilience
Explore strategies for successful problem solving

These task cards require no additional prep but I would personally laminate them so children can use with a dry wipe pen, erase their answers and reuse the cards. Each card is approximately A6 in size. You could also use your printer settings to enlarge the cards and print one as a puzzle of the day on your math bulletin board or as a whole class bell task.

These activities meet the requirements of the Kindergarten Math curriculum and above, as well as the Key Stage 1 curriculum and provide a great and fun way to improve number sense and embed essential basic math skills.
