These hand signals have worked a treat in my classroom. I have taught them to use the hand signals whilst teaching whole class, on the carpet, and the disruption is minimal. No more calling out, no more thinking they have an answer to a question and instead asking to go to the bathroom. You instantly know what they want by the hand signal they show you. Game changer.
