There are 2 resources included,

**Resource 1 **

5 texts of varying length and quality, to make students think about what constitutes a high standard of written French.
There is a question sheet for each text, including a couple of comprehension questions, what is good about the text and what needs improving. Students can then also suggest a grade for the text.

These texts are good to show students where marks can be lost and gained in both their writing and speaking - eg: always indicate a change of tense, include justified opinions etc.

Resource 2

A long text about free time activities last weekend. This is aimed more at Higher Tier and offers the opportunity to teach and practise the PDO.

There are 4 tasks to complete for the text:

  1. highlighting 4 key areas of language within the text
  2. translating certain phrases
  3. answering comprehension questions in English
  4. adapting and improving sentences underlined in the text
