All of the words in the grid look exactly like, or are very similar to, English words BUT they mean something different … often quite different.
Firstly, scan through the list and write the English meanings of the ones you are certain about.
Secondly, check whether you got those ones right or not, using a dictionary.
Thirdly, look up the meanings of the ones you did not have a go at.
