This resource has been designed for Entry Level 3 students working towards Functional Skills English qualifications at Level 1 (Edexcel-Pearson, NCFE, City and Guilds, AQA, Highfield Qualifications, NOCN, Open Awards). It contains a 65-PowerPoint lesson and a 65-page workbook on writing.

The editable PowerPoint lesson clearly explains the type of writing tasks at Level 1. It contains many examples and opportunities for pupils to develop their writing skills. The PowerPoint contains links to several videos on writing and example exam questions. It is ideal for introducing the writing component of the specification and for revision purposes.
Writing Workbook
The 65-page workbook includes 30 information pages, 18 writing tasks and 2 progress checks. It is provided in PDF and an editable PowerPoint version. It can be used for classwork, homework, revision or as an independent learning pack.
