When asked to run a half term revision session I wanted to make it fun so I created this quiz. When I ran it, it took 2 hours. Could be used for revision lessons or cover.
This resource includes:
- An A4 formatted PowerPoint with the handouts and teacher pack
- A widescreen formatted PowerPoint for the teacher to use to run the quiz. This includes embedded YouTube clips for the audio required.
The quiz includes:
- A picture round
- 6 question rounds - one based on each Area of study and one on each set work
- A number question
- A listening round based on MADTSHIRTS
- A wipeout round as seen in pub quizzes!
- TOTAL 111 questions with answers
When I ran the quiz I bought sweets, snacks and fruit and gave prizes to the winning team of each round. The leading team wiped out in the last round which meant the underdogs won the quiz. The students had organised themselves into teams of 3. They were super engaged, said it was the best revision session they’d had and they all left saying they’d learnt something.
