This resource is available as a bundle with four other non-fiction texts (blog, travel guide, short story, news article) in-line with Eduqas A-Level English Language Component 3: Creative and Critical Language to aid students with their analysis of non-fiction texts and writing commentaries. However, they can be purchased individually and a select few could be used instead.
I put these resources together for my A-Level students who were struggling to apply their language analysis to their own creative writing and their commentaries. By stripping it back to basics and looking at the works of other writers, it enabled the class to pull out language and analyse how/why the choices were made and the intention of the writers given the PAFT.
