This is an intermediate-upper intermediate (CEFR B1-2) powerpoint lesson on apologising in emails. Students will discuss apologising in their own language and how it differs from English. Students will also learn some phrases for apologising informally and formally before learning to structure an apology using the SURF structure. Finally, students will learn how to avoid liability when apologising using the passive voice. There are productive activities students can do and the template is editable, allowing you to recycle the lesson with new examples and exercises.
