This EYFS resource is based around the playful poem Bluey the Dog, a short, rhyming story about a confused but lovable pet.
Children will enjoy listening to or reading the poem, then answering simple comprehension questions to help build their understanding of the text.
There is a colouring sheet included and a simple word search featuring key words from the poem (with an answer sheet provided), encouraging early reading and phonics skills.
This activity supports a range of early learning, including story and poetry appreciation, comprehension, reading, writing, phonics, and learning about animals and pets.
Ideal for group work, guided reading, or independent literacy stations.
Licenced Boardmaker symbols included.
