
For the OCR A level biology specification. As part of this topic I also teach the heart rate PAG 11 and use this to teach student’s t-test.
I have included the handout I give students for you to adapt if you wish, this has lots of summary questions, exam questions, revision activities and lined paper in the back to allow for flexibility. It is suitable to print as an A4 booklet.

- Controlling temperature in endotherms
- Controlling temperature in ectotherms
- Student’s t-test including past paper questions linked to PAGs 4,8 and 10 and recap of standard deviation.
- PAG 11 (3 lessons) Investigate the effect of exercise on HR using student’s t-test
- Revision - podcast revision activity, revision grid sheet and QR code to exam questions
