Key words - in, it, is, we, have, get, I, can, see. Simple powerpoint to print out or use on screen. Months of the year to order and colour the object in the picture according to simple instruction. Use the key words to read an write sentences, i.e. In January, we have snow. In February, I can see…it is…etc.

5 baseboards that can be used for matching or bingo games. Pupils can cut up the number words and order them and match to numbers. They can colour 10 number words and then you can show numbers and if they have that number coloured in they place a counter on it (like bingo). Or they can juts cut up all of the number and match the words to the numbers to 20. For a group of 5. ESL or SEN. You can create additional slides by juts swapping some of the number words around.

Teddy bear visits different places on different days of the week. Photographs for speaking and listening to talk about the places he went to and order the days of the week. Simple sentence building using words - I, am, at, the, he, went, to. Useful for SEN or ESL.

Laminate the sentence cards and cut out. Pupils have to match the cards to the missing punctuation square in a SNAP/BINGO style manner until their board is full. Set 1 is matching colours - the pupils simple need to match the coloured sentence to the matching coloured punctuation mark. You can then reinforce why it is needed. The black and white is for higher ability groups whoa re able to work out the type of punctuation that is needed without colour coded help. After the pupils have matched the cards to the board they can write out the sentences adding the missing punctuation,

Played just like a standard game of Connect 4 but pupils need to solve the times tables and order to colour in the square. If they get four in a row, they claim a point. Winner is the one with the most points. Good for paired work, one-to-one catch up games, tutoring and revision of times tables. Times tables 0-10 included. Just print out the sheets for the required number of players. Have fun!

Powerpoint of 4 limericks (my own ideas). Pupils count the syllables, find rhyming words, replace words to make it more silly/nonsense and create an illustration Task at the end -there are boxes with rhyming word sets at the back to help the students with writing their own limericks (just some ideas that I put together to help pupils that may struggle)

Alliteration worksheet for making horrible dinners for each day of the week. Pupils add the alliteration to make up dinners and describe how they looked, felt, tasted. There is an example at the back from one of my pupils . Could also be used for ESl to learn days of the week, food names and adjectives.

An editable powerpoint to create a Year 6 leavers year book. Slides contain boxes to add class photo’s, memories, messages to friends, future jobs, most likely to be and message from headteacher. You can add more slides as required and change page numbers on the bottom of the slides. You can present the powerpoint and/or print it out to make year books that can be put together with a binder for each pupil. Slides are landscape A4. 11 pages in total.
