Includes some simple geography based activities (match the flag to the country/name the European country) and some vocab activities (translating key football vocab and categorising vocab). Also includes a diary entry question. A good ‘back to school’ activity for a strong 3rd year class, TYs or 5th years.

A 64 slide PowerPoint Presentation on the subject of Energy from a geographical perspective. Discusses Natural Resources, renewable and non-renewable energy sources. There are lots of diagrams/illustrations and videos embedded into the ppt. There are also several ‘to-do’/‘homework’ slides which direct the students to their textbook or activity book. We use ‘Geography in Action’ but these slides can be adapted to suit your own class/books.

A gapfill exercise on the subject of TikTok and it’s popularity. Once gapfill is completed, students can use the text as a comprehension and answer the comprehension questions in English. This is followed by a grammar exercise where students must find different types of words in the text. Once complete and corrected, the text can be used as notes for opinon pieces on technology/social media.

Rugby World Cup! An 11 slide PPT with activities included based on the 2019 Rugby World Cup. Can be used with students of any age.

A PPT and accompanying cloze test based on plate tectonics, which serves as an introduction to 1st Year geography students. ‘To’do’/Homework slides are based on the ‘Geography in Action’ textbook and activity book. A worksheet based on Belgian singer/songwriter Angele. The worksheet begins with a short comprehension followed by English questions. This gives an overview of her life and how she got into music. Second exercise is based on her song ‘Tout Oublier’. Students must watch the music video and put the images from the video in the correct order. Finally, there are selected words from the lyrics of the song and students must catagorize the words e.g. an adverb, a past participle, an infinitive verb etc… I use this resource with my TY classes as Angele is very current.
