NINETEEN-EIGHTY-FOUR -GEORGE ORWELL
Although Nineteen-Eighty-Four was written by author George Orwell in 1949, it remains as relevant today as when it was written. The dystopian world of the protagonist, Winston, is one in which the Party controls even its citizens’ thoughts under Big Brother’s watchful eye. We have brought the characters to life based on the description of each as given in the novel and placed them in a setting which reflects their character or role in the narrative. Each poster briefly introduces each character and includes six words accurately defining the character.
The 7 characters in this set are:
Winston
Julia
Syme
Parsons
O’Brien
Mr Charrington
(and, of course) Big Brother
We have produced each piece poster in two sizes: A3 and tabloid. These can be reduced in size if need be. To make printing easy, we have left a margin around each poster so you don’t have to worry about printing to the edge of the paper.
