This lesson is part of an enquiry on the ‘Did the Normans bring a truckload of trouble?’
Focus on the changes made to Anglo Saxon society under the Normans with a focus around the introduction of the Feudal System. Use of fictional Thegn ‘Odric’ to highlight the change and continuity before and after the Norman Conquest. Students also given a little character to show the impact on them.
Use of Southport as local history, but worth checking the Domesday Book online to include your own local area.
