This is a collection of worksheets that would be perfect for cover lessons for all Key Stage 3 students, covering a selection of skills such of colour theory, tone and mark-making, and Art movements. A more indepth lesson for teaching student about Colour Theory, including Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Warm, Cool, Complimentary and Analogous Colours. Students have the oppitunity to complete a Colour Wheel showing Primary, Secondary and Tertiary colours and their placement. This can be completed in watercolour or poster paints to allow students to learn to mix all colours using just the 3 primary ones. A simple yet effective lesson for teaching student about the basics of Colour Theory, focusing and just Primary, Secondary, Warm and Cool Colours. This plant-themed pointillism lesson allows students of all Secondary Key Stages to learn and practice how to apply the technique of pointillism to complete an image. Students will apply knowledge of building up tonal values using dots, and can practice by completing the tonal scale at the bottom of the worksheet. A useful lesson for teaching student about mark-making, and how to create different tones using different techniques Students have the oppitunity to create a small tonal scale using the mark-making technique above. They can then apply that technqiue to a 3D objects (with examples and animations to support students). This resource has been designed for Key Stage 3 students. A useful and simple lesson for teaching students how to create varying tones using coloured pencil, as well as how to blend colours together and mark-making. This resource would be most suitable for Key Stage 3 when teaching coloured pencil fundamentals early on, as well as allowing Key Stage 4 or 5 students to practice and recall how to use them effectively/successfully. It may also be suitable for Primary students if applicable. 2 worksheets are available, one with and one without the decorative border/background.
