This is a fantastic lesson designed to investigate the various theories about why Jack the Ripper stopped killing and what happened to him.

In this lesson the students will be asked why they think Jack the Ripper’s reign of terror came to an end in December 1888, by looking at six different theories.

The will use historical skills (evaluation, interpretation, critical thinking, persuasive writing etc.) to explain what they think happened to Jack.

It can be delivered as part of the Jack the Ripper Scheme of work or as a stand alone lesson.
