This lesson was designed to teach ESL students about one of the biggest holidays in the USA and Canada - Thanksgiving. This lesson provides an overview of the history of Thanksgiving and how it is celebrated today through a variety of games, quizzes, tasks and informative slides. The aim is to give ESL students the opportunity to explore Western culture and to contrast and compare festivals and celebrations around the world with those that they celebrate in their home country. Of course, this lesson can be adapted and is relevant to various topics and subjects.
