This simple game is great for supporting the learning of subitising and number composition. I get the children to roll a number dice. They have to find the pattern that matches the numeral. Some are dice patterns and some are alternative dot patterns to demonstrate the composition of that number in a different way.

I would print, trim and laminate these grids and get the children to use whiteboard pens to cross out the patterns. The first to cross out all their patterns shouts ‘Bingo’ and wins!
