This resource uses the Spanish song “Susanita tiene un ratón”, aimed at Year 5 or 6 students. It starts with a revision of animal vocabulary, where children match animals to pictures. Before listening, they guess what pet Susanita might have and what it could eat. During the song, they fill in the gaps in the lyrics (in both English and Spanish), underline key words in colour, and jump every time they hear those words. The lesson ends with a fun karaoke version for everyone to sing along.
