This ‘Shopping’ themed game is designed to support early counting, one to one correspondence, turn-taking, and language development through hands-on play.
It includes two colour game boards featuring a path made of colour circles and food squares (apple, pear, cabbage, orange, cauliflower, carrot). Children move from start to home.
Children roll a die, move along the path, and collect food tokens when they land on a food square. The winner is the first to reach the finish and collect the most food tokens.
A black-and-white template board is provided, allowing children to decorate and customise their own version of the game, with simple, step-by-step instructions.
A printable set of matching food cards is included for cutting out and collecting during the game.
To use the resource, simply add a dice and player counters.
The boards and tokens can be laminated for durability and repeated use, making it ideal for small group activities, independent learning stations, or one-to-one support.
The game uses Boardmaker symbols (licensed), offering visual support for learners and promoting accessibility.
