Regular preterit verbs speaking practice

Guidelines: Create an original information question by conjugating the verb in the preterit, adding a different subject (person) and adding 2-3 words. Questions can be about anything but must be logical and make sense. After writing your questions, interview a classmate.

Infinitives included:

-AR: hablar, comprar, trabajar, caminar, estudiar

-ER: comer, vender, correr, aprender, vovler

-IR: escribir, salir, recibir, compartir, vivir

*For each infinitive type (-ar, -er, -ir), students will create 5 questions. (15 total)

*A structured template is provided that includes the infinitive with its English translation (Ex: hablar - to speak), question word, and clue word (ayer etc). Students need to add the conjugated verb, subject (person), and 2-3 words to expand on the question.

*Preterit -ar,-er, -ir endings are included.

*The question answer chart is also included (Ex: If the subject of the question is Tú, the subject of the answer is Yo).

The speaking practice can be done in pairs or small groups. It can also be used as a speaking assessment.
