This resource is an eleven page PDF document with reading comprehension activities to do based on the book Orris and Timble - The Beginning by Kate DiCamillo and Carmen Mok.

The activities allow the students to reflect on the story and extend their understanding of the themes within this text. There are ten worksheets, one for each of the nine chapters plus one for the end of the story.

This resource has been designed in this manner as this is the type of book that is often used for reading / literacy groups. This allows for the work to be completed as the students work their way through the text.

There is a worksheet for each chapter which includes three comprehension questions and a small vocabulary or writing task. The extra worksheet which can be used at the end of the book is a drawing activity.
