Interactive, discussion-based lesson exploring themes of legacy, remembrance, and gratitude using oracy protocols to support students to express themselves on personal topics and, crucially, listen and respond fully to others.

Fun activity on the legacy of historical figures as well as more personal discussion activities.

Also includes a creative “Guiding Star” activity: students create a paper-cut star to honour someone who has inspired them. Includes template for KS3, designed especially for Celebration Day 2025 by acclaimed artist Rob Ryan, best known for his intricate and delicate paper cuts.
